Excellence in Leadership event examines teamwork, honors CU Anschutz dean

The 2025 Excellence in Leadership Lecture and Luncheon examined leadership and teamwork, as Excellence in Leadership program (ELP) alumni and current program participants gathered on April 4 at the Benson Hotel on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Ann Schmiesing, interim vice chancellor for Strategic Initiatives and professor of German at CU Boulder, gave the keynote speech at this year’s luncheon. Cathy Bradley, dean of the Colorado School of Public Health at CU Anschutz, received the 2025 Excellence in Leadership Award.

Longtime CU champion Tanya Kelly-Bowry honored by Board of Regents

University of Colorado leadership last week celebrated the career and contributions of Tanya Kelly-Bowry, CU’s longtime advocate at the state Capitol and in Washington, D.C. The Board of Regents unanimously passed a resolution expressing deep gratitude for Kelly-Bowry’s dedicated service, leadership and contributions to the CU system. Regents also granted her the title of Vice President Emerita in recognition of her significant and distinctive service.
