The Board of Regents today approved a $5.52 billion budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year. The systemwide total reflects a 3.2% increase over CU’s budget for the current year. As presented at today’s board meeting, the budget includes a 3% across-the-board compensation increase for classified staff and a 3% merit pool for faculty and non-classified staff, and makes investments in institutional financial aid, deferred maintenance in facilities, campus budget initiatives and advancing the systemwide strategic plan.
Five outstanding biomedical researchers at the University of Colorado are part of the Boettcher Foundation’s 2022 class of Boettcher Investigators, recipients of grant funding through the Boettcher Foundation’s Webb-Waring Biomedical Research Awards Program.
Aimee Pugh Bernard, Ph.D., faculty member at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, is the recipient of the 2022 Chase Faculty Community Service Award, which recognizes her tireless advocacy for vaccines and pro-science policy, as well as her enthusiastic, imaginative exposure of science careers to young people in historically underserved populations.
