University of Colorado leadership last week celebrated the career and contributions of Tanya Kelly-Bowry, CU’s longtime advocate at the state Capitol and in Washington, D.C. The Board of Regents unanimously passed a resolution expressing deep gratitude for Kelly-Bowry’s dedicated service, leadership and contributions to the CU system. Regents also granted her the title of Vice President Emerita in recognition of her significant and distinctive service.
Residence halls across the CU system opened their doors to students over the past several days, signaling the start of the fall 2024 semester. Student move-in days at CU Denver, UCCS and CU Boulder found Lynx, Mountain Lions and Buffs joined by family, friends and members of the CU community, all lending helping hands. President Todd Saliman visited each of the three campuses to meet and greet new students. See scenes in our photo gallery.
The Bridge Scholars Program, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this summer, is more than just a program. Its mission is to support first-generation Colorado residents from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds. Based in the Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement within the Division of Enrollment Management at CU Boulder, the program has evolved from a summer initiative into a comprehensive support system aimed at enhancing CU's precollegiate programs.
