Global IT and cognitive science leader Beth Rudden will be the keynote speaker for the 2023 Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology (COLTT) conference. She has driven digital transformation through trusted artificial intelligence (AI) systems for IBM in roles including Distinguished Engineer, Chief Data Officer and Chief Data Scientist. In 2022, she founded Bast.ai, a groundbreaking corporation pioneering the future of conversational AI technology.
Last year, Mark VanDriel successfully ran for the CU Board of Regents in the state’s new 8th Congressional District. “I spent a lot of time talking to voters about the leadership role CU plays in higher education in our state, as well as the ways it uniquely serves all of Colorado,” he said.
Kathryn D. Boyd-Trull, M.D., faculty member at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, is the recipient of the 2023 Chase Faculty Community Service Award, which recognizes her yearslong commitment to helping vulnerable community members overcome transportation, financial and cultural barriers to accessing vital health care.
