Conference on accessible media, web and tech offers 5% discount to CU community
Members of the CU community are offered discounted registration for the 2025 Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web and Technology Conference, which is set for Nov. 17-21 at the Hilton Denver City Center.
This year’s event includes over 42 virtual and 110 onsite sessions on topics such as accessible documents, PDFs, video, Canvas pages and alternative format.
Accessing Higher Ground also addresses legal and policy issues, including ADA and 508 compliance; and campus accommodation, universal design and curriculum accessibility. The conference is relevant for IT and media professionals, course designers and faculty.

CU campus affiliates who use their campus email address receive a 5% discount off registration fees. Members of the CU Boulder community, which is an AHEAD (Association on Higher Education and Disability) institutional member, receive a 10% discount.
Keynote speaker Mia Ives-Rublee is the senior director for the Disability Justice Initiative at American Progress. She previously advocated for disability justice and inclusion at nonprofit organizations and businesses across the United States. She has worked with Women’s March, Families Belong Together, DC Action Lab and numerous other progressive organizations. She will talk about Title II of the ADA regulations, taking effect in 2026, and the attitude of the current administration toward disability and accessibility.
