CU Special Screening of Wonder with CU Anschutz's Dr. Francis Smith

CU Advocates is co-hosting a special screening of the movie "WONDER" (being released Nov. 17, 2017) with the CU Anschutz School of Dental Medicine.  The movie screening will feature comments from Francis Smith, PhD. Dr. Smith has Treacher Collins syndrome, a genetic disorder that strikes one in 50,000 births. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at CU Anschutz Medical Campuse in the School of Dental Medicine, studying genome sequencing reads, looking for mutations around the syndrome. The movie is based on the New York Times bestseller, "WONDER" tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman.

Dr. Smith will be signing a special edition of the book Wonder that includes a forward he wrote.  Books can be purchased through the registration link.
