Note from the editor: Thank you for connecting
Dear readers,
Today’s issue of CU Connections is my last. After 17 years, I am retiring from the University of Colorado.
The Faculty and Staff Newsletter, as it was first named, had only been around a few months in 2009 when I first joined University Relations in the Office of the President. Among my responsibilities was to serve as editor of the new online publication.
In a story introducing me to the CU community, I was quoted: “I'm excited to be part of a team that tells stories about the vital contributors to a great institution, and that also meets demand for good information.”
That never changed. And I never tired of helping to tell those stories.
It was only possible because so many members of the faculty and staff – across four campuses and system administration – invested the time and energy to share their stories. And also to read them.
Whether you visit CU Connections regularly or occasionally, thank you. I’ll continue as a reader, too, and will always be connected to the University of Colorado.
