Also in the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Eileen Thomas, Ph.D., R.N., has been selected to receive a pilot grant for Improving Translational Research Through Community –Academic Partnerships for her application titled “Integrative Care Services for Asian Pacific Islanders in Colorado Communities.” The award was given by the Colorado Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CCTSI) and the Community Engagement PACT Council. … Professor Diane Skiba, Ph.D., FAAN, has received a Certificate of Recognition from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology for leadership, dedication and commitment to furthering the goals of the HITECH Act through expanding and enhancing the Health Information Technology professional programs that ensure public health, rural and underserved areas have Health IT-trained professionals. Skiba, in turn, recognized Donna DuLong for her efforts in recruitment and grants management for the program and said that without her help, CU would not be receiving the recognition.
