A new book by Sam McGuire of the College of Arts & Media at CU Denver, titled “Modern MIDI: Sequencing and Performing Using Traditional and Mobile Tools,” discusses the tools needed to properly and effectively use Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) in a modern setting while still incorporating vintage MIDI gear. In the book, released by Focal Press, McGuire explores typical workflows and techniques for both the studio and the performing environment.
