The Influence of Technology in the Criminal Justice System
Presented by the CU Denver School of Public Affairs
Over the years, technology has become a huge part of everyday life which has shaped what we do, and how we do it. In the criminal justice system, we see new forms of technology in a multitude of areas that have been extremely influential with major impact. We see cold cases being solved with genealogy, online databases that help law enforcement track down individuals, and even online programs that allow inmates to attend their trials without even being in the room.
This event will focus on the use of technology in courts, corrections and law enforcement while highlighting the pros and cons of the devices used in each. We will be holding a panel discussion with professionals who work with these modes of technology in their professional lives Please join us for a discussion of technology's influence in the criminal justice system.
