Nominations open for CU OER Champions awards
The Office of Academic Affairs and the Open CU Initiative Committee are accepting nominations for the annual Open Educational Resources (OER) Champions awards.

The program recognizes four educators or educator teams – one from each CU campus – and one student whose work with open course materials, pedagogy, research or advocacy advances student success and promotes open sharing.
Each recipient will receive a $1,200 award, which may be applied to salary or used for project support. All members of the CU educational community are eligible. Nominations are due Aug. 14, 2026, with awardees to be notified by Aug. 19 and recognized at a campus event in September.
OER includes freely available teaching and learning materials such as textbooks, syllabi, lectures, assignments and simulations.
