COLTT 2026 invites you to ‘Steer Into the Slide’
Higher education is experiencing many challenges: advances in AI, shifting student expectations and evolving workforce demands.

The Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology (COLTT) community invites you to join the 2026 conference, set for Aug. 5 and 6 at CU Boulder, where educators and learning designers from across the CU system and beyond will come together to explore how to navigate uncertainty with purpose and creativity.
This year’s theme, “Steer Into the Slide,” challenges participants to move beyond hesitation and into action – to test ideas, rethink practices and engage thoughtfully with emerging technologies while keeping the human side of teaching at the center.
COLTT 2026 offers attendees the opportunity to:
- Explore practical strategies for integrating AI and other technologies
- Gain hands-on experience you can apply immediately
- Connect with colleagues across disciplines and campuses
- Share ideas and solutions for teaching in a time of uncertainty
Call for proposals now open
The call for proposals is now open, and we invite faculty, instructional designers, technologists and campus partners to share their work and ideas. This year’s program is designed to help participants both act and reflect:

Hands-on, build-as-you-go workshops where participants will create real teaching materials, workflows and AI-supported resources they can use immediately.
- Day 2: Broader Innovations (Aug. 6)
Sessions exploring learning analytics, course design, credentials, faculty support, accessibility and more – helping educators adapt to a rapidly evolving landscape.
Proposal deadline: May 1 (for full consideration)

Registration is open, with a single, flat rate covering both days of programming.
COLTT 2026 is a chance to come together, share ideas and move forward with intention. Join us as we rise to the challenges ahead – and learn how to steer into the slide.
