THE TESTAMENT OF MARY is a play written by renowned Irish author Colm Toibin that tells the story of the silenced witness to Jesus's death, his mother Mary.

This Panel Discussion Series, sponsored by The Millstone Evans Group of Raymond James, will follow select performances of the Regional Premier of the play, starring Tamara Meneghini and directed by Ami Dayan. Toibin adapted his award-winning novella into a play that was produced on Broadway by Scott Rudin Productions, commissioned by Dublin Theatre Festival and Landmark Productions with the support of Irish Theatre Trust.

For more than two thousand years, Mary has been silent. Seen by the world but until now, not heard. At long last, she speaks a defiant truth – in a voice that is both tender and fierce.

The post-show discussions series will deepen and explore themes brought up in the play such as the patriarchal order, silenced testimony, the feminine, the plight of the refugee, the building blocks of faith, and more. It will feature an array of insightful faith and community leaders, academics, historians, and experts in related fields.

Panel discussions will follow the performances on:
Saturday, April 29 – after the 7:30 pm show
Sunday, April 30th – after the 6:00 pm show
Friday, May 5th – after the 7:30 pm show
Monday, May 8th – after the 7:30 pm show
Friday, May 12th – after the 7:30 pm show
