Eklund Opera Program: "The Turn of the Screw"
Benjamin Britten’s 20th-century English chamber opera—replete with both tonality and dissonance—is something of a horror story, based on Henry James’ disturbing novella of the same name. A young governess is terrorized by suspicious apparitions in a classic tale of the end of innocence, the struggle between good and evil … and supernatural realms.
"The Turn of the Screw" is presented by the Eklund Opera Program. CU College of Music faculty and students are joined by guest artists on stage, and members of the CU Symphony fill the pit orchestra. With lavish scenery and spine-tingling musicianship in CU's intimate Music Theatre, join Eklund Opera for a show you will be talking about all year.
