CU System Holiday Gift Drive
For the third year, System Staff Council is sponsoring a holiday gift drive to support GIVE Denver and Denver Human Services (DHS). GIVE Denver is a program of Denver Human Services that leverages contributions, volunteers, and community partnerships to bring hope and happiness to foster children, the homeless, and the City’s most vulnerable communities.
A tree is set up on the 6th floor to help you fulfill the wish lists of individuals in our community who need your support this holiday season. A helpful guide is also located by the tree to aid you in your shopping adventures!
You can select a gift tag which will include a person's name, age, and gender OR a tag for a general gift donation.
The gifts purchased for a specific person need to be wrapped and have the corresponding gift label attached when you drop them off on the 6th floor. Please note that there are some wish lists that contain larger items – do not feel obligated to purchase these large ticket items. Each person’s name is on the tree a few times, so feel free to find others with the same name to purchase a larger gift together. A $20-$30 gift is suggested.
Some gift tags do not have a name, but instead are for general gift donations. If you choose one of these, do not wrap the gift. No donation amount is recommended and these gifts may be for children, teens, adults or seniors.
There are several names still left on the tree, please join us in supporting our local families in need by participating in the holiday gift drive.
We will need to have all gifts dropped off on the 6th floor by 12:00 pm on December 12th. If you need multiple gift tags, you may use your own; just make sure to include the recipient details as listed on the provided one.
