CU Dever, 1380 Lawrence St., Lawrence Street Center, Terrace Room

CU Denver students and the university community are invited to a CU Regent Candidate Forum. Meet the candidates vying for three of the nine Colorado Board of Regents seats, and learn about their platforms for the future direction of the University of Colorado System.

Upon admission of Colorado into the Union on Aug.1, 1876, the university was declared an institution of the state, and the Board of Regents was established under the Constitution as its governing authority. The Board of Regents consists of nine members serving staggered six-year terms, one elected from each of Colorado's seven congressional districts and two from the state at-large. The board is charged constitutionally with the general supervision of the university and the exclusive control and direction of all funds of and appropriations to the university, unless otherwise provided by law.

Features candidates running for three University of Colorado Regent seats; current students; community members; faculty; staff; university stakeholders. Moderator Tony Robinson, associate professor and chair, Department of Political Science, College of Liberal Arts and Science, CU Denver.
