CU Advocacy Day at the Capitol

CU Advocacy Day at the State Capitol will feature Dr. Huntington Potter, director of Alzheimer's disease research, of the CU School of Medicine. Learn about Alzheimer's disease research, treatments and discoveries. Legislators and CU officials also will talk about the state budget, CU finances, advocating and legislative priorities. The day will begin with a legislative and CU leadership breakfast reception.

 

REGISTRATION

We are honored to have the following legislators talk at CU Advocacy Day:
REP. KEVIN PRIOLA, Colorado House District 56, graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder where he studied economics and finance. Rep. Priola will talk about how to best advocate with elected officials.
SEN. ANDY KERR, Colorado Senate District 22, graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder where he studied Geography, and continued on at CU Denver to get a M.A. in Information and Learning Technologies, and an Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies license. Sen. Kerr will talk about Senate Bill 1 (funding for higher ed/tuition cap) and why higher education is a priority.
SEN. MICHAEL JOHNSTON, Colorado Senate District 33, holds degrees from Yale College, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the Yale Law School. Sen. Johnston will introduce Dr. Huntington Potter of CU's School of Medicine.
