Secrets of Star Clusters

Join us for a presentation and discussion on our amazing universe and its mesmerizing planets, stars, nebulas and more! We will be showing images of the star, planets and features that make our solar system unique. Then we will venture outside to roast s’mores by the fire, sip hot chocolate and gaze at planets and other celestial objects through the telescope.

This month’s program will explore what we have learned from the study of open and globular star clusters including the age of the universe, the size of our Milky Way galaxy, the life of stars and perhaps the location of our sun’s birthplace among the stars.

Please dress appropriately for the weather as a portion of each class will be outside. Ages 8 and up.
