4:00pm – 5:00pm
Glenn Miller Ballroom, UMC, CU Boulder

Elspeth Dusinberre, professor in the Department of Classics at CU Boulder and a renowned scholar of the Achaemenid Persian Empire (ca. 550-330 BCE), is the 112th recipient of the Distinguished Research Lectureship. Join us for a lecture from Professor Dusinberre focusing on how imperialism impacted people living in antiquity – just as it does today – and the ways in which the problems faced by people living in or next to an empire remain fundamentally similar to those we face now, even if solutions to issues have changed with time, geography and cultural background.
