Disqus: Commenting simplified
New CU Connections invites discussion via Web’s favorite system
With the relaunch of CU Connections, commenting on stories and letters is now powered by Disqus, the Web’s favorite discussion system.
You’ve likely seen Disqus on other websites. If you’ve used it to comment elsewhere, you’re ready to roll in Connections, too.
If you’re new to Disqus, before you may begin posting comments you’ll be asked to sign up. All it takes is your email address. (Here are more details from Disqus.) If you prefer, you may use your existing Facebook, Twitter or Google login.
Here’s how to get started:
Step 1: At the upper right corner of each post’s comment block, there’s a clickable login link. Click here and choose your account preference.
Step 2: If you’re creating a new Disqus account, enter your email address, then create a username and password. Click the register button.
Note: By using your University of Colorado email address, you’re letting us know you’re part of the CU community, which is our target audience for CU Connections. Unless we need to contact you to verify your status, we won’t use or share your information.
If you’re having problems logging in after registration, try clearing the cache in your Web browser.
Disqus offers a number of customization choices that will help you tailor your commenting experience at CU Connections and other sites. For details, refer to the Disqus website.
Inappropriate comments are subject to removal from CU Connections posts.
