LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Take Faculty Council’s communication survey for chance at prizes

//

On behalf of the Faculty Council Communication Committee, I invite you to participate in a survey regarding the effectiveness of communication you receive about the University of Colorado.

Click here to take the survey. Respondents will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of six Amazon Fire tablets or a grand prize CU fan pack that includes two Club Level tickets to the Buffs football game against Stanford on Nov. 7. Responses will be separated from any personal identification to assure your privacy.

The committee has been working to enhance communication within and from the University for several years. We have worked closely with University Relations and CU Connections to enhance content and improve the flow of information about CU. Recently, CU Connections moved forward with an enhanced platform and format that is capable of delivering more information, links to additional content, and interactive features that should enhance the communication process. We will continue to work with CU Connections to enhance the kind of information you receive and assure you receive it in an efficient manner.

Your participation in the survey will assist us determining the kind of information you receive and wish to receive. It will help us understand where you get information about the university and whether you are receiving it in ways and quantities that are useful. Communication is successful when you receive the right information in the right amounts. No one wants to be uninformed nor do they want to be swamped with so much information that it is easier to ignore it than sort out what is useful from what is not.

With that in mind, we ask that you take a few minutes to respond to the Communication Committee survey.  We will use your responses as we work to continue improving University communications.

Click here to take the survey, which will conclude Oct. 23.

Thank you for participating.
