Allison Kempe, professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine and director of the Children’s Outcomes Research Program at Children’s Hospital Colorado, has been appointed to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Her term begins July 1. Last month, Kempe was named “Big Shot of the Year” by the Colorado Children’s Immunization Coalition. … Sonja K. Foss, research professor in communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at CU Denver, recently completed a lecture tour of four universities in China.
